I was told by a couple locals that Tapa Bar has a great selection of original dishes to try out, so I wandered downtown and found the little alley it's located in, Trounce Alley. It was pretty packed, but I was lucky enough to wiggle in on a corner of the bar. It felt like a cosy cantina, with Spanish music and dim lights. The bartenders were quick and friendly, and soon I was digging in to a few tapas.

Three Baked Oysters - with cilantro pesto (amazing) and parmesan. Great pesto for dipping the bread, tasty oysters, but for the price, three oysters was a little small.

Portuguese Sardines - simple grilled sardines with salt and lemon. Lovely char, fresh taste and finish. I choked on a couple bones, but that's just me! A couple more times having sardines, and I will get the hang of it.

Seafood Ceviche - chilies and cilantro, side of fresh salsa. The chilies overpowered it for me, but had a light fresh taste. Salsa was nice. Wasn't my jam, but some folks I sat next to loved it, so if you like spice and ceviche, go for it.

Seafood Fettuccini - mussels, prawns & halibut in a saffron white wine cream sauce with parmesan and basil. ER MER GEEEERD this was my absolute favorite! Packed with lots of seafood and great flavours, I even had leftovers the next day and it was even better with some time for the flavors to meld together. I would have this over and over and over again.
Prices are a bit on the high end, but worth it for what you get. Can't wait to go back and try some more of their tapas!
